Teaching is a profession that teaches all other professions. Teachers as the name suggest the Kingdom of knowledge from which the knowledge transfer to their students. Teachers play a vital role to build up young minds, their future and exert tremendous influence upon the society. Dr. Radhakrishnan, who was a staunch believer of education and was the well-known diplomat, scholar, professor of India and above all a teacher, is remembered on the occasion of teacher’s day every 5th of September. To carry forward this tradition, Partap College of Education, Ludhiana celebrated this occasion with much vigor and enthusiasm. Chairman Dr. J.P.Singh and Dr. Ramesh Inder Bal, Finance Secretary of this college were the chief guests. The members of Rotaract team were also present on this occasion. Principal, Dr. Balwant Singh welcomed all the honorable guests.
The students exhibited their talent and devotion towards their teachers through various presentations. Gagandeep Kaur, Vishu, Ishmeet ,Deepika, Harleen Gurbaksh Jyoti, Talwinder, Mandeep, Pooja and Aditi students of D.El.Ed and B.Ed highlighted the historical importance of this day through their speeches, songs and poetry. Students offered token of love to Principal, Vice principal and all the teachers.
Dr. J.P. Singh, told us about the required and good qualities of a teacher. He emphasized on devotion, determination and dedication of a teacher to his profession. He said that a teacher should develop a friendly and good relationship with the students. He also added that good teachers are those who inspire and not just teach.
Principal Dr. Balwant Singh, in his keynote address motivated the students and told teachers never die and remain alive with their works. He announced the names of the excellent teachers and awarded them with a certificate, momento and 10 thousand rupees under the performance incentive scheme of the institution. Ms. Parveen Sharma , Ms. Kiran Bittiza, Mr. Pardeep Singh, Ms. Alka Joshi, and Ms. Vaishali Pahwa assistant professor of the college were awarded under this scheme for their meritorious and dedicated services for the year 2018. Dr. Manpreet Kaur ,vice principal expressed her views on the teacher as a role model and delivered a vote of thanks.
