Report on the Commemoration of the 5th Anniversary of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan
(In reference to the letter from the Director, Social Welfare Department, dated
19-10-2025)
In response to the letter received from the Director, Social Welfare Department, regarding the commemoration of the 5th Anniversary of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, Partap College of Education, Ludhiana enthusiastically organized a series of awareness-oriented and participatory activities. The purpose of these events was to sensitize students and the community about the harmful effects of substance abuse and to inspire them to contribute actively towards building a drug-free society. The entire program was carried out under the guidance of the Principal Dr. Manpreet Kaur and faculty members, ensuring maximum student involvement and community outreach.
To mark the occasion, sports activities such as Badminton and Kho-Kho were organized within the college premises. The inclusion of sports events served a dual purpose — not only to encourage physical fitness and team spirit among students but also to emphasize the importance of maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle as a strong preventive measure against addiction. The message conveyed through these activities was clear: engaging in sports and physical exercise can channel youthful energy in positive directions and help students stay away from destructive habits.
A Slogan Writing Competition was also conducted, providing students with a creative platform to express their understanding and commitment towards the goal of a drug-free India. The participants came up with thought-provoking slogans, reflecting deep awareness about the consequences of substance abuse and the need for collective social responsibility. This activity not only enhanced their artistic and linguistic expression but also instilled in them a sense of moral duty towards spreading the message of health, self-control and social well-being.
In addition, a large number of students participated in the E-Pledge Campaign under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan. By taking the online pledge, students reaffirmed their personal and social commitment to staying away from intoxicants and to motivating others to adopt a healthy lifestyle. This digital initiative connected students with the larger national movement and helped them realize that their individual efforts contribute significantly to a collective social transformation.
The highlight of the commemoration was the Awareness Rally, which was organized around the college campus and nearby localities. Students, holding banners and placards bearing impactful messages, marched together to raise public awareness about the harmful effects of drug addiction on physical health, mental well-being, family harmony and community safety.
Through these well-coordinated activities, the college reaffirmed its commitment to promoting the values of health, discipline and social responsibility—paving the way for a Nasha Mukt (Drug-Free) and progressive India.
