Teej Festival — 2018

The festival of Teej was celebrated with pomp and grandeur by the students of Partap College of Education, Ludhiana on 14th August’ 2018. It was a gala time for the students as they performed with true essence the traditional Giddha, Folk Dances,  Folk Songs and  Punjabi ‘Bolian’ to mark the occasion.

Concluding this colourful event, Principal Dr. Balwant Singh congratulated all the students who have participated in the program and exchanged greetings of Teej. He added that ‘Teej’ is a jovial festival of daughters and inspired the students to participate with letter and spirit. He expressed his best wishes and inspired the teachers and the taughts with his valuable words. He also motivated the students to make our country lovable.

Miss Anu was crowned as “Traditional Customary Ancient   Punjabi Dress” and Miss Deepika won the title “Tiyan di Raunak”. Miss Ramandeep was crowned as “Gidhya di Rani”, Miss Aditi grabbed the title “Best Folk Singer” and Miss Kanika was crowned as “Miss Teej”. The function ended with a vote of thanks proposed by Miss. Sapandeep Verma.
