Teaching is a profession that teaches all other professions. A day is kept aside to remember all the teachers. This day is celebrated in commemoration of Dr. Radhakrishnan, who was a staunch believer of education and was the well-known diplomat, scholar and above all a teacher. To carry forward this tradition, Partap College of Education, Ludhiana celebrated this occasion with much vigor and enthusiasm. Dr. Ramesh Inder Kaur Bal, Finance Secretary and member of managing committee of the college was the chief guest. Dr. Manpreet Kaur, Principal of college extended floral welcome to chief guest and Dr. Balwant Singh, Director of the college.
Dr. Balwant Singh acquainted the students with the chief guest of the day. He added in his speech that good teacher is a pillar in the life of students. He motivated the students to become a good person and a good teacher. He emphasized on devotion, determination and dedication of a teacher for this profession. The students exhibited their talent and devotion towards teachers through speech, poem recitation, dancing and singing.
Dr. Ramesh Inder Kaur Bal expressed her views on teacher’s day and she advised the young budding teachers to move with changing time and adapt changes in teaching techniques too.
Two very dedicated and hardworking faculty members, Ms. Parveen Sharma and Ms. Kiran Bittiza were honoured. Dr. Manpreet Kaur, Principal, Partap College of Education also expressed her views on role of teachers. The function was concluded with formal vote of thanks.
