
Crash course in Russian Language
The memorandum of understanding signed between Partap College of Education, Ludhiana
and Kaliningrad University, Russia outshined by inaugurating the Centre for Russian
Pedagogy at the former's campus with an aim to grow professionally in the teaching –
learning process, this year when the college is celebrating its silver Jubilee i.e. 25 years of
experiential and skilful learning. To glorify its journey, collaborating with IKBFU the
institute initiated an Introductory crash course in Russian Language in the month of July,
under the guidance of Director of the college, Prof. Dr. Balwant Singh , Principal of the
college, Dr. Manpreet kaur, and Rector of the university, A.A. Fedorov. Vice Rector, Olga
Kim, Kaliningrad University, Russia welcomed all for this crash course. In this program,
total 50 students and teachers partook and practiced the basics of this foreign language
instructed throughout by Ms. Katya Agulnik along with constant support from Ms. Daria
Gerber and Ms.Ksenia Scriabin.
This initiative added a remarkable skill in one's know-how which surely will help the learners
to transcend in their careers. On the concluding day, the Principal of the college, Dr.
Manpreet Kaur extended heartfelt gratitude to the professors of the linguistic department of
IKBFU for their endless support and patience throughout along with ensuring about the
practice that will be done on the part of learners so that soon the advance course could be
organised. The Director of the college also felicitated and appreciated the efforts taken by
both the tutors and the students to make this initiative a great success. Professor Ksenia,
Kaliningrad University, Russia arranged the convocation ceremony, distributed certificates to
all the participants and proposed the vote of thanks.
