The 5th International Day of Yoga
The weeklong Yoga Camp organised in Partap College of Education, Ludhiana concluded today (21/06/2019) with the celebration of the 5 th International Day of Yoga. Students and the members of staff enthusiastically participated in the event. Various Yoga Asans and Pranayams were performed under the guidance and supervision of Asst. Profs. Mr. Ram Paul and Mr. Dharam Singh. The concluding day was marked with spirited and motivating lectures from various speakers disseminating the benefits and importance of Yoga. Eulogizing the importance of Yoga in life, Principal Dr. Balwant Singh exhorted the participants to make it an integral part of their lives. He said that regular Yoga practice results in wonderful changes in a man’s body mind and spirit. Vice Principal Dr. Manpreet Kaur envisioned Yoga as the only means to fulfil the educational objectives of all the three domains, especially of the affective domain, “The topsy turvy chaos of values prevailing in the modern day society can only be rectified by regular yogic practices,” she asserted. In the end, Dr. Balwant Singh felicitated the students and advised them to do regular practice of the Yogic Assans and Pranayams learnt during the camp. Curtain fell on the festive event with vote of thanks to the audience by Dr. Manpreet Kaur.
