ANNUAL CONVOCATION (06-05-2018)
Flaunting with degrees in hands and faces brightened up with luminous smiles, students were on cloud nine during the 16th Annual convocation of Partap College of Education, Ludhiana held on May 6th 2018. The event was graced by Dr. S.S Chahal, Honorable Professor Emeritus at Panjab University and former Vice Chancellor at Maharana Partap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur. The Academic Procession led by chief guest Prof. Dr. S. S Chahal, Principal Dr. Balwant Singh, chairman, Prof. J.P. Singh, Secretary. Dr. Ramesh Inder Bal and Vice Principal. Dr. Manpreet Kaur, ceremoniously proceeded to the auditorium.
The event started with a cordial welcome address delivered by Mrs. Manpreet Kaur, which was followed by Sarasvati Vandana. After this, Dr. Balwant Singh, Principal took over the dais, shared the progress report of the college, highlighting the academic and culture achievements during the session 2015-2017 and extended his warm wishes to the students by saying, “We are confident that our students will be able to meet all the challenges faced by them. Our convocation reflects Partap College of Education’s efforts in creating future professionals who will strive to bring about positive change around them as the whole world is changing in all the spheres at a mind boggling speed. In this transformational and disruptive environment, Partap College of education believes that the best gift it can give to its students is the ability to understand this very basic nature of change so they can be well prepared for the future.”
Prof S.S. Chahal delivered the convocation address on this solemn occasion. He congratulated the degree holders who have received their degrees which is truly a milestone in their career, their parents and faculty on this occasion. He applauded the academic and non- academic pursuits taken up by Partap College of Education. He inspired the students to be motivated and committed teachers and have passion for a positive change as it is preciously expected from the new entrants like them. They have now become a partner to this journey of growth and endeavour to bring radical improvement in school education. He said that they should be ready to take challenging phase of life with self-confidence applying the talent, knowledge, skills and training that they acquired from this institution of great repute. At every step in life there is hard competition so they should be determined and confident to excel. For excel there is never a full stop. He showered his blessings upon them by saying that they should work as they are responsible to the next generation. They are empowered now with a very special, technical and practical education, set their goal, take responsibilities and pursue vigorously to achieve them. He concluded his address by giving his best wishes to the students, motivated them to have dream for high success and make sky the limit for their achievement.
After this, Dr. Balwant Singh and Dr. S.S. Chahal conferred degrees to B. Ed and M. Ed students. Students dressed in robes, medals and honors were also bestowed upon the excellent scholars of the college for their illustrative contributions towards scholastic pursuits and extraordinary cultural achievements. Manvir Kaur, Manvir Kaur Dhillon and Jasleen Kaur from M. Ed and Loveleen Saini, Joyita Sen and Diksha Sood from B. The convocation Ceremony was concluded with formal induction of all degree holders and vote of thanks proposed by Dr. Manpreet Kaur, who advised the degree holders to make the best use of their knowledge, skills, values and attitude learnt at Partap College of Education. As the day came to an end, Partap College of Education bid adieu to yet another batch of brilliant minds.
