A one-day regional conference under the patronage of IPDA India was successfully organized at Modern Education College on the theme “Guru to Global Educator: Redefining Teacher Identity, Responsibility and Social Commitment.”, The conference commenced with a formal welcome address delivered by Dr. J. S. Rana, Director of the host institution. He warmly welcomed the dignitaries, scholars and participants, emphasizing the importance of such academic gatherings in fostering dialogue and innovation in education. The academic proceedings featured insightful lectures by eminent educationists. Prof. A. D. N. Bajpai, vice chancellor, Atal Bihari Vajpayee university, Chattisgarh delivered an online lecture emphasizing the integration of Indian Knowledge Systems with modern technology, while Prof. Nain Singh, Member of NCTE Delhi, expressed concern over the declining standards of education and stressed the need to improve classroom practices. The keynote address was delivered by Prof. Balwant Singh, Director of Partap College of Education and Chairperson of IPDA India. He elaborated on the historical development of IPDA, its establishment in India, and its expansion to regional chapters such as Punjab and underscored the importance of such conferences in identifying regional educational issues and developing collective solutions. Dr. Mohan Sharma, Additional director, IGNOU regional centre, Shimla, further emphasized the need to adapt classroom practices in the rapidly evolving AI-driven educational era. Additional keynotes by Prof. Rajesh Sharma, ICDEOL, Department od Education, HPU, Dr. Dharam pal, Director of shikshan sansathan and Prof. Pardeep Dehal from HP University,  focused on unethical practices in the education sector, supported by real-life examples, and highlighted the effective utilization of resources. The technical session witnessed the presentation of more than 30 research papers by students and faculty from various colleges of Shimla and Punjab, accompanied by an engaging live interaction session and was concluded by Prof. Rajesh Sharma with valuable insights aligning the papers to the conference theme. The conference concluded with a formal vote of thanks delivered by Prof. Balwant Singh. He encouraged students to join research initiatives such as the Young Researchers Association and motivated them to contribute quality research papers. He also highlighted the significance of the PARVIEW Journal published by Partap College of Education. The conference concluded with a vibrant cultural programme showcasing intercultural folk performances, promoting cultural exchange and unity. The conference ended on a sophisticated and successful note, enriching all participants academically and culturally.
