Partap College of Education, Ludhiana proudly celebrated World Punjabi Day
on September 23, 2025, with great enthusiasm and fervor. The event was
organized to highlight the importance of mother tongue and Punjabi culture, and
to promote the rich literary and artistic traditions of Punjab.
The celebration was attended by students and teachers of the college, who
shared their thoughts and ideas on the significance of Punjabi language and
culture. The Director of the college, Prof. Balwant Singh, emphasized the role
of mother tongue in shaping one's identity and cultural values. He highlighted
the importance of preserving and promoting Punjabi language and culture, and
encouraged students to take pride in their heritage. The Principal of the college,
Dr. Manpreet Kaur, also shared her views on the significance of Punjabi
language and culture. She emphasized the need to promote and preserve Punjabi

Partap College of Education hosted an extension lecture on "Personality
Development in the Light of Gurbani" in collaboration with the Sehj Path Sewa
Society, Amritsar. The event featured Satnam Singh Salhopuri, Organiser of
Sehj Path Sewa Society, Amritsar, as the keynote speaker. All the students and
teachers were present in the session. Assistant Professor, Ms. Gagandeep Kaur
initiated the program.
Principal, Dr. Manpreet Kaur welcomed the guests and stressed the importance
of personality development in today's competitive world, noting that Gurbani's
teachings offer valuable insights into building a strong personality and
promoting spiritual growth. Satnam Singh Salhopuri shared his thoughts on how
Gurbani can be a powerful tool for personality development, discussing the
importance of self-awareness, humility, and compassion, and highlighting the
need to cultivate virtues such as truthfulness, integrity, and self-discipline.
During the lecture, Prof. Balwant Singh, Director of Partap College of
Education, emphasized the significance of Gurbani in shaping one's personality,
highlighting its role in developing a strong moral compass, building confidence,
and cultivating a sense of purpose.
 
The session  provided a valuable platform for students and faculty to engage

The function commenced with the flag hoisting ceremony by our respected Principal Madam, accompanied by faculty members and students. Everyone joined in singing the National Anthem, which filled the atmosphere with pride and devotion towards the nation.
The program began with a soulful shabad presented by the alumni members along with Ms. Baisakhi Banerjee, Music In-charge, seeking divine blessings. It was followed by a video presentation on the diversity of India, reflecting the unity of our culture and traditions. Students of B.Ed. Semester III and alumni members then presented patriotic songs and inspiring speeches that filled everyone with love and respect for the nation.
The event was coordinated by Dr. Parveen Sharma, Assistant Professor, who carried out the proceedings with grace and enthusiasm. Dr. Manpreet Kaur, Principal, addressed the gathering with her valuable words, motivating the students to uphold the values of freedom, responsibility and national unity.
The program concluded with a formal Vote of Thanks delivered by Mr. Pardeep Singh, Assistant Professor, who expressed gratitude to the Principal, faculty and students for making the celebration a success.

Partap College of Education, Ludhiana proudly announces students’ online participation in a prestigious 6th International Scientific and Practical Conference of young scientists “creators and mentors” within the frame work of 25th International Education Congress “Sustainable Development of Education: Mission transformation Resources” organized by Immanuel kant Baltic Federal University, Kaliningrad, Russia. Students of B.Ed. semester 2, Ms. Navkiran Kaur, Ms. Neetu Rani, Ms. Sonia, Ms. Yashika , Ms. Navneet Kaur, Ms. Anamika, Ms. Mehek, Ms. Shivani, Ms. Mahima participated in this and showcased their research prowess in various fields like language, education, social science, and psychology.
This achievement is a direct result of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Partap College of Education and IKBFU, Russia, aimed at fostering academic collaboration and innovation. Executing the essence of the MoU the college provides the opportunity for joint research projects and publications – Academic exchange programs for students and faculty, organizing conferences, workshops, and seminars – Capacity-building and skill developing initiatives for faculty and students. Under the expert guidance of our esteemed faculties, our students presented their research papers, demonstrating exceptional academic talent and dedication. Celebrating the silver jubilee this year, Partap College of Education, Ludhiana being the head quarter of International Professional Development Association (IPDA), hosted IPDA India and IPDA England collaborative international event on “Developing Professional Learning via Mentoring for Teacher Training: An International Perspective”. The webinar aimed to explore the significance of mentoring in learning, the challenges of mentoring and sharing international best practices to overcome those.

The event was graced by the virtual presence of Lizana Oberholzer, Chair, IPDA England, Dr. Balwant Singh, Chair, IPDA India, Pauline Smith IPDA England, Dr. Manpreet Kaur, Secretary, IPDA India. Eminent speakers from IPDA England Derek Boyle, Stuart Mitchell and Sue Giacoletto and from IPDA India MS. Anju Dhawan, Principal, Manav Rachna International School, MS. Parvinder Kaur, Principal, Partap Public School, MS. Roshni Handa, mentor Sat Paul Mittal School, Ludhiana illuminated the sessions with their research and experience on mentoring. Principals and mentors from other schools and all the teacher educators of the college also attended the webinar enthusiastically.

The welcome note was presented by Lizana Oberholzer followed by the introduction to the mentoring theme of this collaborative event by Pauline Smith and Dr. Manpreet Kaur. Dr. Kaur focused on the diversified social, financial, linguistic back ground of both the mentor and the mentee in Indian context which as a whole affect the mentoring procedure and the outcome. She described the dual mentoring model which is prevailing in Indian teacher education system while Pauline Smith highlighted on managing stress level and increasing the retention ability of the mentee and creating a perfect mental relationship between the mentor and the mentee through continuous mentoring. She emphasised on empowering schools for mentoring new teachers.

Then the speakers from India presented their valuable and insightful speech on ‘Enhancing teacher development through structured mentorship programmes’ and ‘The mentoring approach at Sat Paul Mittal School’. Speakers from England presented their profound and informative speech on ‘Mentoring, Professional Learning and Teacher Training in England’ and ‘Reviewing mentor development courses in UK. Later on, discussion by the whole group took place to find out the solutions for overcoming the challenges of mentoring. The presidential remarks were elaborated by Dr. Balwant singh where he focused on the challenges of mentoring discussed in this event, proposed some solutions and summed up with the key points.

The Institution proudly nurtures a rich tapestry of
artistic expression, intellectual curiosity and competence in traditional arts and crafts with inclusivity.

 

The college showcased its versatile calibre in Four- day Panjab University Zonal Youth and Heritage Festival of Zone-6 (Education A), took place at GHG Khalsa College of Education, Gurusar Sadhar, Ludhiana. 33 Education colleges affiliated with Panjab University, Chandigarh participated in this event. In music items, the college bagged first prize in Classical vocal and Geet; second prize in Group singing and third prize in Shabad singing and many more individual prizes. In literary items, the college won first prize in Elocution and third prize in both Debate and Poem recitation. In the poem recitation event the participant recited her self-composed poem. With the outstanding presentation of acting competence, in One act play individual third prize was bagged by the college student. In Fine arts item, student of the college won third position in cartooning and in Heritage item Bagh, the college exhibited its excellence winning the second prize.

Celebrating the silver jubilee year the college is successfully marking its academic and extra currirular achievements. Principal Dr. Manpreet Kaur congratulated all students for their exceptional talent, dedication and team work. In her speech she mentioned that, this achievement reflects the commitment of the institution to foster holistic development and excellence.
