The conference served as a vibrant platform for deliberating on contemporary trends, challenges, and innovations in teacher education, while fostering international academic collaboration.

The inaugural session commenced with an address by Dr. Parveen Sharma, Organizing Secretary, who highlighted the institution’s global partnerships with countries such as Russia, the United Kingdom and Uzbekistan. This was followed by a formal welcome address by Dr. Manpreet Kaur, Principal Partap College of Education, Ludhiana. The opening remarks by Prof. Radif , Director, Kazan Federal University , Russia emphasized the importance of intercultural dialogue in education. Prof. Balwant Singh, Director Partap College of Education, Ludhiana and Chair IPDA , India elaborated on the conference theme and discussed global teacher shortages with reference to international data and current educational challenges. A significant highlight of the session was the release of the book Professionalism in Education – Eighth Edition. The keynote sessions formed the academic core of the conference. Prof. Anna O. Budarina, Head,, Institute of Education and the Humanities, Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University, Kaliningrad, Russia delivered the first keynote on Axiological frameworks in teacher education, offering valuable insights into contemporary reforms in higher education. Presidential remarks by Dr. Manpreet Kaur, emphasized the importance of value-based approaches. The second keynote by Xolboy Ibraimov,Director of the National Institute of  Pedagogy and character education named after Kori Niyoziy,Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences,Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan focused on modernizing education systems through international practices, followed by presidential remarks from Prof. Balwant Singh. An expert lecture by Prof. Khakimova Barno Muratovna on Artificial Intelligence in education highlighted the transformative role of AI in teaching-learning process.

The conference also featured technical sessions conducted across multiple venues, including a dedicated online platform for international participants, particularly from Russia. These sessions enabled scholars to present research papers and engage in meaningful academic discussions. Another keynote by Prof. Lizana Oberholzer, Chair IPDA,  UK on “Reimagining Teacher Education” encouraged innovative and transformative approaches. The presidential remarks were delivered by Anna O. Budarina, who appreciated the depth of the keynote address and emphasized the need for integrating innovative, value-based, and globally informed practices to strengthen teacher education in the contemporary context. Certificates were distributed to participants and international guests were honoured. The Award of Excellence was conferred upon Dr. Parveen Sharma and Mr. Pardeep Singh for their dedicated efforts. The day concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof. Ramesh Inder Kaur Bal, chairperson Partap Educational Institutes.

The second day began with a poster presentation session, where participants showcased their research through innovative visual displays. The session was evaluated by Prof. Olesiya,vice-Head,, Institute of Education and the Humanities, Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University, Kaliningrad, Russia, Dr. Mandeep Bhullar, Principal, Bhutta College of Education, Ludhiana and Dr. Kusum Lata, Retd. Teacher, National awardee and the top three presentations were awarded for their academic merit. This was followed by a keynote by Prof. Juanjo, Professor, Head of department of Education,University of Salamanca, Spain on the use of AI in teacher education, highlighting both opportunities and challenges, with presidential remarks by Dr. Manpreet Kaur. Another keynote by Prof. Laura,Professor of experimental pedagogy at the Pegaso University in Naples (Italy) on the theme “Innovative strategies for teacher education in an interconnected world” provided further academic insights, followed by remarks from Dr. Mandeep Bhullar, Principal Bhutta College of Education, Ludhiana.

The conference concluded with participant feedback, presentation of the conference resolution by Prof. Anna O. Budarina, Head,, Institute of Education and the Humanities, Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University, Kaliningrad, Russia and concluding remarks by Prof. Balwant Singh. The event ended with the National Anthem, marking the successful culmination of a highly enriching academic experience focused on global collaboration, innovation and the future of teacher education.

The festivities began with an Akhand Path, which commenced on November 27 and concluded with Bhog on November 29. The sacred ceremony was organized for the overall development and well-being of the college, its staff, and students. The event saw an overwhelming turnout of esteemed principals and dignitaries from various institutions, as well as alumni and members of the college community. The congregation came together to pay their respects and seek blessings, fostering a sense of unity and gratitude.

Principal Dr. Manpreet Kaur expressed her heartfelt gratitude, stating, “This auspicious occasion marks not only the celebration of Gurpurab but also the silver jubilee of our institution. The function commenced with the flag hoisting ceremony by our respected Principal Madam, accompanied by faculty members and students. Everyone joined in singing the National Anthem, which filled the atmosphere with pride and devotion towards the nation.
The program began with a soulful shabad presented by the alumni members along with Ms. Baisakhi Banerjee, Music In-charge, seeking divine blessings. It was followed by a video presentation on the diversity of India, reflecting the unity of our culture and traditions. Students of B.Ed. Semester III and alumni members then presented patriotic songs and inspiring speeches that filled everyone with love and respect for the nation.
The event was coordinated by Dr. Parveen Sharma, Assistant Professor, who carried out the proceedings with grace and enthusiasm. Dr. Manpreet Kaur, Principal, addressed the gathering with her valuable words, motivating the students to uphold the values of freedom, responsibility and national unity.

On March 16, 2024, Partap College of Education, Ludhiana, in collaboration with IPDA India and its Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), hosted a highly engaging National Seminar on the theme “Unlocking the Potential of Teacher Education in the Digital Society.” This event was generously sponsored by the College Development Council (CDC) of Panjab University, Chandigarh.

The seminar commenced at 10:00 am in the college auditorium with a warm welcome from Dr. Manpreet Kaur, Principal of the college, provided a thoughtful introduction to the seminar’s theme. She emphasized the transformative role of digitalization in teacher education and the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance teaching and learning processes. Dr. Kaur highlighted the need for educators to leverage AI tools and various virtual platforms to improve educational outcomes in India.

The seminar was honored by the presence of the esteemed chief guest, Dr. Balwant Singh, Director of the college, who delivered the presidential remarks. Dr. Singh praised the efforts of the organizing committee for curating an insightful seminar. He highlighted the significant benefits of digitalization in education and urged a balanced approach to the use of technology, advocating for its prudent and effective integration into teaching practices.

Keynote addresses were delivered by distinguished speakers, each bringing a wealth of knowledge and unique perspectives to the seminar. Dr. Dilpreet Singh, a Senior Scientist at CSIR-Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute, Ludhiana, explored the revolutionary potential of AI in education. He discussed AI-powered tools and strategies that could personalize learning and reshape traditional teaching methods, offering a futuristic vision of educational transformation.

Prof. Juanjo Mena, Head of the Department of Didactics, Organisation and Research Methods at the University of Salamanca, Spain, focused on the importance of immersive learning experiences. He emphasized how bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application through technology can enhance the educational experience and better prepare teachers for real-world challenges.

Adding to these insights, Mr. Mohit Gupta, Senior Business Manager for Technology, presented on the critical role of AI in teaching. His session marked a milestone in innovative teaching practices, showcasing how AI can be effectively utilized to support educators and enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.

The seminar also featured engaging presentations from scholars across various backgrounds during the technical sessions. These sessions allowed participants to showcase their research, creativity, and cognitive prowess, contributing to a diverse and rich exchange of ideas on the integration of digital technologies in teacher education.

Dr. Mandeep Bhullar echoed the earlier sentiments, emphasizing the necessity of incorporating technology-supported methods and virtual reality into teacher preparation programs. This integration, she argued, is crucial for developing a robust and adaptable education system in a rapidly digitalizing society.

The event concluded with a reflective valedictory session, where the session chairs shared their insights and learnings from the day’s discussions. Dr. Babita Arora, Associate Professor and Organizing Secretary of the seminar, extended a heartfelt vote of thanks to all participants, speakers, organizers, and sponsors. Teaching is not just a profession it is way of life and art of assisting discovery. At Partap College of Education, Ludhiana, Teacher’s Day was celebrated with much vigor and enthusiasm in presence of Prof. Balwant Singh, director, Dr Manpreet Kaur, Principal and all faculty members. 5th September is celebrated as teachers’ day in commemoration of Dr. Radhakrishnan, who was a staunch believer of education and was the well-known diplomat, scholar and above all a teacher. The day is marked to thank the teaching community for the contributions they make to the lives of their students; a day is kept aside to remember all kind souls and teachers.

The programme was devised, organised and conducted by college students with great fervour and exuberance. Ms Harman Kaur, student of D.El.Ed. 1st year anchored the program and college students expressed their love and respect for their teachers through poems, songs, skit and dance performances. Ms Baishakhi Banerjee, Asst. Prof. sang melodious song in praise of Gurudev Rabindra Nath Tagore.  Mr Pardeep Singh, Asst. Prof. of college motivated all pupil teachers to develop their creative expression and teaching skills. Ms. Balwinder Kaur, Asst. Prof expressed significance of teachers and their contribution in building future of nation through poem recitation. 

Dr Manpreet in her speech asserted that teachers should not only be an academic leader they should be leader of social curriculum to become role models for their students and society. She honoured and appreciated all teaching faculty for their hard work and excellent teaching. Prof Balwant Singh also guided the budding teachers to develop devotion, determination and dedication towards this noblest profession. The program was concluded with vote of thanks by Ms. Baishakhi.

 प्रताप कालेज की प्रिंसिपल डा. मनप्रीत कौर के नेतृत्व में स्वतंत्रता प्राप्ति के जश्न में शामिल होते हुए सभी स्टाफ सदस्यों तथा एम.एड.,बी.एड. व डी.एल.एड. कक्षाओं के सभी विद्यार्थियों ने 15अगस्त को कालेज परिसर में ध्वजारोहण किया।तत्पश्चात मार्च पास्ट करते हुए राष्ट्रीय ध्वज को सलामी दी गई तथा राष्ट्र गान किया गया। इसके बाद साँस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम के आयोजन में देश भक्ति के गीत, कविताओं, भाषण ,नृत्य की प्रस्तुति देकर सभी छात्र छात्राओं ने आजादी का जश्न मनाया।  इसी उपलक्ष्य में कालेज में 13अगस्त को करवाये गये पोस्टर मेकिंग मुकाबले के पहले, दूसरे व,तीसरे स्थान पर आये छात्रों को पुरस्कृत किया गया।

        कालेज प्रिंसिपल डा.मनप्रीत कौर ने आजादी के 75 वर्ष पूरे होने पर सभी देशवासियों को बधाई देते हुए कालेज के अध्यापक शिक्षकों व भावी शिक्षकों को अपील की कि उच्च शिक्षा के साथ साथ नैतिक मूल्यों के ज्ञान की जिम्मेदारी भी शिक्षकों को निभानी चाहिए।उनके अनुसार शिक्षा तभी सफल है जब देश का प्रत्येक नागरिक  अपने अधिकार और कर्तव्यों  से परिचित होकर उनका पालन करने के लिए कृतसंकल्प हो जाएगा।

At Partap College of Education, Ludhiana a multidimensional orientation cum extension lecture was organised to boost the morale of students and staff so that they can quickly go to the reconciliation mode for their recovery of loss incurred during Covid shutdown.

Principal, Dr. Manpreet Kaur welcomed the guests and all present. She motivated the students to  be regular to enhance their teaching skills and fill the learning gap. Director, Prof. Balwant Singh highlighted the inter connected parameters of Covid pandemic which have broken the normal chain of life. A damaging attitude of students and parents about non attending mode of education which is throwing out ‘educated unemployable youth with fake genuine degrees’ in the society which is a matter of great shame for all of us. Prof. Singh gave illustrations on the glory of teaching profession from his own experience to bring back the same rhythm of study, training, teaching, leaning and skill development. He also sighted the great hymns from Gurbani and for its logical insight. Students and staff recited the holy path of shri Sukhmani sahib. Religious discourse was illuminating to know the seasonal importance of this month of sawan (rainy season). Prof. Singh brought this concept of revival of nature after long span of scorching heat to again grow by forgetting the problems of draught and heat. The students and teachers pledged to work hard after this compelling shutdown for the welfare of their families, society and nation at large. ‘Guru ka langar’ was served. The students of the college also organised a beautiful cultural program which was enthusiastically instrumental in retuning and reviving the youth to the main steam. The event ended with vote of thanks extended by Ms. Balwinder Kaur, Asst. Prof of the college.

“Teej”’ with much fervour and great festivity was celebrated at Partap College of Education, Ludhiana. After the second wave of pandemic, the campus life has been resumed and students of

D.El.Ed., B.Ed. and M.Ed. of the college celebrated the teej festival and participated with great zeal and zest. They expressed their festive spirit through singing, dancing and by playing games.

Dr. Ramesh Inder Bal, finance secretary of the college was the chief guest of the occasion. Ms. Balwinder Kaur welcomed the guests and all present. Principal Dr. Manpreet Kaur extended floral welcome to the hon’ble guest Dr. Bal.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Bal highlighted the cultural significance of Teej festival and said in Punjab, the monsoon month is eagerly awaited to celebrate this traditional festival of Teej. She further said that no society without having its roots entrenched in its culture can survive for long. She said that when daughters are happy, it brings happiness to the whole house.

Dr. Manpreet Kaur appreciated the efforts of students for celebrating such events and reviving the cultural heritage of Punjab. She also conveyed message that to ‘Save Culture, Save Daughters’ as daughters bring happiness to the whole society and world. She also added that after second wave of Covid, such celebrations are the best source to break monotony and socialisation.

The International Women’s Day, which was observed on 8th March, 2021 was
celebrated at Partap College of Education, Ludhiana. Dr. Ramesh Inder Bal,
financial secretary, Partap College of Education, Ms. Rajni Jalota, reporter the
Dainik Savera, Ms. Deepa Sharma Sood, reporter the Hindustan Times, Ms.
Ragini Kaushal, reporter the dainik bhaskar, Ms. Kartika, coordinating editor
Punjab Screen, Blog media, Ms. Manpreet Kaur, reporter the Dainik Bhaskar
were the guests for the occasion.The limelight was on the tireless works and
activities of some women who have worked extraordinarily in their fields.
Ms. Balwinder Kaur (Assistant Professor) welcomed the guests and highlighted
the history of celebrating the International Women’s Day. The guests were
offered a floral welcome. They were introduced to the audience by highlighting
their achievements. Life Time Achievement award was honoured to Dr. Ramesh
Inder Bal for her contribution in the field of education and women welfare. All
the guest dignitaries were also awarded on behalf of the college. Assistant Prof.
Ms. Kiran Bittiza received the award of excellence.
Dr. Balwant Singh, Director, Partap College of Education, Ludhiana presented
his views regarding this special occasion. He accented the importance of this
day by saying that women’s day celebration is not a celebration but the
commemoration of the contributions of the women of all ages. He expressed his
grief regarding the gender discrimination, social insecurity of the females,
sexual abuses etc. He said that history carries the evidence of many violent
treatments towards women. He requested all the journalists to write for the
rights of the women with their sword i.e. pen. He motivated all the women
community to raise their voice for themselves. He also added that women
possess plethora of attributes. History has written the efforts of woman in
golden words. He suggested the women society to enter in the decision making
mechanism of the family and society. Women should try to bring a social
reform for their betterment.
On this occasion, students of B.Ed. class expressed their emotions and feelings
with their self-composed poems and speeches. Dr. Ramesh Inder Bal said that
women have to fix their target first and they have to stick on that She inspired
the new generation women to be independent and also blessed all the pupil
teachers.
Journalist Ms. Deepa said that if women want to get respect then first they have
to respect their own self. She also focused on being independent. The Program

was concluded by proposing the vote of thanks by Dr Manpreet Kaur, Principal,
Partap, College of Education, Ludhiana. She has focused on the present status
of the women and inspired all the females to make her own position in the
society by combating all the hindrances which force her to take the back seat.
