An insightful extension lecture cum workshop on “Learning menus as a method of differentiation in classroom” was organised at Partap College of Education, Ludhiana. Ms Swastika Khosla, a college alumnus presently working as senior school coordinator and English teacher at GEMS new millennium School, Dubai was the resource person. 

In the presence of Prof. Balwant Singh, Director and Dr Manpreet Kaur, Principal of the college, Ms. Swastika elucidated modern teaching techniques to be used in classroom. She also conducted a workshop on preparing useful learning modules to make teaching more lucid and interesting. College students enthusiastically participated in the workshop and prepared learning menus on the chosen subjects.

Prof. Balwant Singh while highlighting the importance of innovative techniques in teaching, stressed upon the skills of teachers. He asserted that modern methods and gamifications are important to know about but teachers’ own skills, behaviour, knowledge and their passion towards their profession are pivotal for the teachers. Dr Kaur in her speech also expressed that its necessary for the teachers to be tech savvy and updated with all upcoming knowledge to meet needs of their future students. She motivated the pupil teachers to fully utilize their training phase in more productive way and hone their teaching skills by adopting technology. She incentivized all to imbibe humanistic values to be good teachers.

At the end, token of love and appreciation was presented to Ms Swastika and  Ms Baishakhi, Asst. Prof. of the college presented vote of thanks.
