The first meeting of ‘Alumni Association’ for the year 2015-16 was held at Partap College of Education, here today i.e. 28.08.2015, under the charismatic leadership of Dr. Balwant Singh, Principal, Partap College of Education, Ludhiana. The meeting began in the afternoon session around 3:15 p.m. and concluded by 5:30 p.m. Mr. Ajay Kumar, Alumni Incharge conducted the stage and acquainted everybody present with the brief history of its inception in the college and its chief objectives. After this, present and formal members of Alumni Association took over the stage and expressed their gratitude to their alma mater. They got nostalgic while sharing old memories and association with the college. They owed all their success in their personal and professional life to the college, where they had been taught to be a leader in every field. Thereafter Mrs. Manpreet Kaur, vice principal of the college took over the stage and election of office bearers was done unanimously in the presence of Dr. Balwant Singh wherein Gursharan Singh ( B.Ed. 2005-06) was elected as the president and Khushpal Singh (M.Ed. 2012-13) was elected as the vice-president. Sukhjit Singh (M.Ed. 2014-15) was elected as the Secretary and Ramnik Kaur (ETT 2011-13) as the Joint Secretary. The office of treasurer was held by Mrs. Manpreet Kaur (B.Ed. 2002-03) with the consent of everybody present over there. Mrs. Poonam Bala (M.Ed. 2013-14) and Dharminder (B.Ed. 2013-14) were elected as the executive members of Alumni Association for the year 2015-16.

After the election of office bearers, Dr. Balwant Singh, addressed the newly elected office bearers and other members of Alumni Association. He intimated them with the progress made by the college in academic and non-academic spheres in the previous years, not only at national but international levels. He also exhorted the members to play their active role to take the college to new heights by contributing towards the holistic growth and development of the college, by preparing the visionary outline of the activities needed to be done for this purpose.
